Why
Group trips have different requirements than family trips
A private family trip can go anywhere. A group of 15-20 children needs space to spread out, enough equipment so nobody waits idly, accessible toilets, and ideally a short walk from parking or public transport. If multiple ages are represented - nursery group with preschool group - the site also needs to cover the full age range.

Must be close - at least one public toilet within 200 metres is a good rule of thumb for a group.
All ages

Pedagogical angle
Nature playgrounds and water-play sites open for science and outdoor-learning activities during the visit.
Inclusive

Planning the perfect group trip
Visit ahead if possible
A quick scout the day before reveals whether the sandbox is full, a slide is out of order, or a new playground has opened.
Check water-play season
Water installations are typically open 1 May - 30 September. Call the municipality if you're planning a trip early or late in the season.
Use favourites for routine routes
Save 3-5 playgrounds as your "rotation" and alternate them on regular trip days. Variety for the kids, less planning for you.
